This reminds me a lot of Owly, this whole comic. It’s quite different from your work in Flash and Teen Titans, and it’s quite a refreshing change. I definitely wouldn’t mind reading this in print format
This is one of my favorites in this series (along with the next one with the owls). I think it takes real talent to make something ambiguous and surreal also funny. I’m not sure I can explain it, it just has to strike you the right way. Who/what (the trees, the woods, something as yet unseen?) is doing the inviting?…with what intent?…The only certainty is the resigned disappointment. It just plays out beautifully; I love it! Keep it up, Karl.

I… don’t actually understand this one. Can anyone explain it?

I thought it was the birds in the trees saying “come in”. But I didn’t understand what they were expecting.

My first thought was, leopards…? Don’t leopards sit in trees and pounce on things from above?
Whatever the tree-creatures are, this comic is cute! That Charlie’s not much of a talker, but he’s got a great survival instinct!

I think it’s the dark, forbidding, tunnel itself. Nobody ever comes in, because it just looks so… dangerous. It must get awfully lonely.

Anyone notice the face in panel 4?

Sorry, I made a mistake in my post… I meant panel 5.
