Hi everyone! If you’ve bookmarked the RSS feed and you’re having problems, it’s because I’ve moved the comic to a new server (the old one was being flaky). Please change your existing bookmarks to point to the new feed at http://abominable.transmission-x.com .
Fantastic strip!! I only started reading it today so it was really fun going through each panel and having array of emotional experiences. I totally love all your characters.
I’m going to spread the word of your strip to the rest of T&T (Can’t wait till next Wednesday)
That frightened smile on the new character in the last panel is just another example of your amazing talent. I can’t get how you can portray the emotions so well on animals, it’s awesome.
Your art is breathtakingly beautiful. There is no question of that. Your writing, however, as well as the synthesis of both, is/are truly masterful. Astonishing work. Touching. Funny. Gorgeous.
Hi, been reading since the beginning. This comic cracked me up. I’ve been on all three sides of this conversation. and in one instance I mean this EXACT conversation. <..> Gets outsa my head!
Thanks everyone! This one came out of nowhere. I had started drawing a different strip and then had the idea for the wind joke in the shower. Which is where most of my ideas come to me.
Louisa: That little guy IS a lemming! I love that you noticed!
Crash: There’s EVERY chance that I’ll be doing ACC sketches! Come by my table and I’ll hook you up. I’ll probably also bring some prints, and I’m thinking of doing a Calgary-specific illustration for the event.
Hooray, I identified the little rodent right! Wonderful job drawing a lemming, then; I’ve only seen a few pictures and figured that’s what it was right away.
I love how well you draw wildlife. It’s accurate, yet just anthropomorphosized enough to allow for excellent expression.

Bravado may be a happy-go-lucky guy(fox) for the most part, but his admonishment is FIERCE!
I friggin’ love this comic. It is far and away some of the best comics I’ve ever seen. Keep the good stuff coming, please.

The fox’s indignation is priceless. Also, I love the way that lemming(?) just instantly agrees that he is the wind, deadpan.
January 30th, 2008 at 5:36 pm
A new character! What is he, though? Looks a little bit like a chinchilla.
And clearly, getting on our little fox’s bad side isn’t a good idea.
January 30th, 2008 at 5:55 pm
Oh, complete and utter SQUEE. That is obscenely cute.
January 30th, 2008 at 6:01 pm
That made me laugh.

Nice try little rodent

That is a world class wind impression he’s got there. Very windy for such a little guy. I love him, he might be my new favourite.
January 31st, 2008 at 10:26 am
Brilliant.
I like how the little guy just affirms hi being the wind right away, and the cold, unemotional distain of the fox is prescious.
Good work.

I was thinking it was a pika (not a lemming) but the ears are too small.

I’ve been reading these for some time now. The comedy is great, and so is the art, I love the blend of realism, heart, and humor.

I swear, I can hear a cute little childish voice in my head saying “You’re a liar.”, like a 6-year old voice. My god, I love this comic.
