Karl,

Another beautiful comic, with that touch of emotional subtlety that I love about your strip. The plot has an ethereal nature that's foiled provocatively by the everyday lives of the rest of the woodland animals -- suffice to say, I love it!

Your art is simply fantastic; I don't understand how you can draw animals with such realism and such humanism. Have you ever considered drawing less standard-format panels? My favorite all-time strip is Calvin and Hobbes, and I remember that one of Watterson's greatest complaints was the paucity of space he was allotted by newspapers. WIth a webcomic, you have the freedom -- and in your case, obviously the talent -- to take adavantage of unlimited spacing. I'd love to see TACC drawn with a freedom of style in accordance with the feel of the strip itself. Anyway, keep up the fantastic work, and I can't wait till the next installment!

i dont think the lion is spamming 'wake up,' but that the second panel is from charles' perspective (hence the blurriness) and that the single phrase is echoing through his fuzzy consciousness. Also supported by the fact that he's already awake in the first panel.

Anywho, i love the strip; the art, expressions, characters, story, and overall feel is great ^_^

(well, maybe it's tied with the portrayal of the lion/moon bear. But still.)

This may sound odd, but my favourite part of this strip is how the fox looks at Charles in the last panel...
