Hm. I’ve related that “Bang” to Charles snapping to reality and realizing that his Fox companion isn’t there. I’ve associated it with his facial expression of suddenly approacing terror. But there I can be mistaken.

Amazing how attached you can get to a 2D bit of drawing isn’t it? This strip is beautiful art, and I have to check almost each day to see if there’s a new post up early.

If you take a close look at the last panel in the previous strip, the shadowy figure that frightens poor little Townsen is a hunter.
i just started readin the whole thing yestaerday and i went through them all and it’s just something beautiful to read,i can’t wait to read it all now that i’ve read this much, i want to translate it to spanish for some friends of mine who would really get a kick out of it, is just great reading and the art is just as incredible

If the little foxy died, it’d be so heartbreaking and powerful that I’d love the scene. But I’m still pretty sure Townsen is still alive, though. We’ll soon find out.
