Menno, you can associate your paypal acct with your dutch bankaccount. That way you can pay with paypal without a creditcard :) It worked for me. So i ordered me a t-shirt woohooo. Great work Karl!

Ahw shucks, i just noticed i can’t order anything since paypal won’t accept dutch American Express cards. oh well.

Of course I don’t, Menno.
The shirt prices are a result of a combination of factors. I’m doing very small print runs because I’m only ordering for my readers and a few extras for shows, so volume discounts don’t really apply to me. Paypal takes a cut of the transaction, I have to buy shipping supplies, which aren’t cheap, and then pay for the actual shipping.
I decided to use flat rates rather than calculate individual shipping on each order, just to simplify the process, but I noticed that $9/package outside the US is not unusual. I live in Canada, by the way, so whenever I order things online I have to deal with this stuff too.

Anyway, I just wanted to explain things. I’d prefer to offer the shirts at a lower price, but I just can’t. Tell you what, though – if you catch me at a show somewhere it’ll definitely be cheaper! ;)
