The Mediators
I think we can all agree it was time to lighten things up a bit. Four straight weeks of sorrow was taking its toll on my mental health.

While I am happy to see this turn of events…. Oh, hell. Yes, I am much happier to read funny bird quips than see foxes in trouble. :)
October 15th, 2008 at 10:49 am
D’awww. :3 Thanks for the much-welcomed break from all of the sad.
October 15th, 2008 at 10:54 am

October 15th, 2008 at 11:50 am

October 15th, 2008 at 12:06 pm
My heart, she is broke again, but in a smaller, sweeter way, after reading this week’s update.
Bless you and your talents, my friend.
October 15th, 2008 at 12:42 pm
Hehehe, funny Bertrand.
Very cute Karl. Nice break from the sadness (but still want to know what happened to Townsen!).
October 15th, 2008 at 12:45 pm
The birds are great, but I am alone in wanting to know of what is happening with Townsen?
October 15th, 2008 at 1:05 pm
Awww yeah I am glad to see the birds again they are adorable but ranger, you are definitely not alone. Time well tell I guess.
October 15th, 2008 at 1:31 pm
Lovely as always. I suppose I can be patient for another week… you always make the wait worth it. :)
October 15th, 2008 at 1:39 pm
Haha, Bertrand is SO excited.
October 15th, 2008 at 2:44 pm
Karl – add my thanks for the break . Bertrand’s expressions in the last two panels really did it for me . Goes from boisterous to humble in a heartbeat . And Mama – she does the same sort of change – but from argumentative to concerned and caring . It’s where and who you are that is important at that moment – and the rest of the world doesn’t count right then and there .

So adorable and funny, I love the birds! Excellent way of portraying the little things in life. Love it… but I still want to know what happened to Townsen! However, although I was slightly upset at not seeing a comic on that, that disappeared after reading this. Very well done. ^^
October 15th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
Owww, I like the bids. They are soooo sweet and funny^^

October 15th, 2008 at 7:09 pm
I think its amazing just how involved you are with your work. Though I have been wishing it were wednesday since…last wednesday, I can definately tolerate the need to refresh your peace of mind.
October 15th, 2008 at 7:09 pm
“Jeez, Bertrand!”
That’s EXCELLENT.
October 15th, 2008 at 7:21 pm
So good!!
October 15th, 2008 at 8:21 pm
That’s cute. Thanks – I needed that :)
October 15th, 2008 at 9:33 pm
I’ve missed the birds but, I want to know what happens to townsen too.
October 15th, 2008 at 11:21 pm
*Sniffle* I’m still raw from the loss of Townsen. I just found TACC via Butternutsquash/Kukuburi – and marathon-ed the entire thing up until now. I’m devastated. Needless to say, I can never make it through the part of Bambi where the mother is killed. Seeing animals get killed just…kills me. :[But I love TACC, added to my new favorite comics!
October 16th, 2008 at 9:54 am
Keep it up, I am loving this comic to pieces!
October 16th, 2008 at 12:27 pm
Oh yes. You did it again. Giving us cute birds when there are dead foxes in the world. I’m not sure if I love or hate you.
October 16th, 2008 at 3:33 pm
we’re all wanting to know what happened to Townsen, rangerlee…but a break from the sad kinda welcome…
October 16th, 2008 at 5:01 pm
I was going to NOT look, but I did and liked it. Thanks Karl for not making me cry this week. Love love the birds.
October 16th, 2008 at 7:07 pm
“Giving us cute birds when there are dead foxes in the world.”
Life is like that. If you spend all your time weeping for the dead foxes you’ll die of a broken heart and never see the Bertrands – which would be a terrible loss.
You love Karl.

Birds are cute. Sorry you get personally involved in your strip. Still, it only puts off the inevitable. It is not necessarily a kindness. Best to take your medicine straight up without sugar. It gets it over quicker that way.
October 17th, 2008 at 9:40 am
These birds are the best!
Always smart and funny.
Congrats!
October 17th, 2008 at 10:08 am
Awww…. Cute nervous birds… :D
October 18th, 2008 at 12:39 pm
oh my. I’ve just found this webcomic and read it, and now i am reduced to tears :( This story is so great! I love all the characters all ready, and they have made me laugh out loud because they are so cute and funny. But please, Townsen must not be dead, not really dead, just hurt, please? Please?
wow… its been a while since a webcomic have moved me this much :] thank you.
October 19th, 2008 at 2:39 am
Hee! Birdies!
October 20th, 2008 at 5:52 am
hey karl I love the comic especially the read between the lines appeal each strip has which in a way challenges to look at the expressions for more than what is being said. Also love the story and characters genuinely appealing there has been many moments in the strips that have evoked real emotions in us and that is something you should enjoy and im sure you do. Keep On Keeping on
December 19th, 2008 at 11:16 pm
Ok, this comic is like when a friend is sad and you say something that makes them laugh and then they look at you while laughing with tears in their eyes and they make that “I’m sad but thanks” face. That’s what this makes me feel like.
January 7th, 2009 at 12:55 pm
Aww, poor little Bertrand. I’m bad at public speaking too, I feel for that birdie. :D
May 30th, 2009 at 12:18 am
I love Bertrand’s “parroting” stance and expression in panel 3. And he has a bit of his father’s bug-eyes. :-)
May 30th, 2009 at 12:20 am
P.S. I hope the hen gets a bit of come-uppance for treating her husband like that.
