I’m imagining Vivol with the voice of Ian McKellan, but not because of Golden Compass. The first thing that popped into my head was Gandalf, and then Magneto in his more wistful, melancholy moments.

Agreed Noah, about Moonbear being a “Deity”. The Lion certainly was, and here he is.

I’m not sure I could stand watching the death of another beloved character.

Moonbear strikes me as more of a deity. He wouldn’t necessarily have to die to undergo that transformation, but knowing this strip he will. Probably saving Vivol too just so we all use an extra kleenex.
