New York Wrap-Up

I’m back in Montréal after attending the New York Comic Con this past weekend, and I just wanted to thank everyone who came by the table to see me. Some of you said it was your first convention!
I gave away lots of Abominable stickers, and I tried to do a sketch for every Charles Christopher fan that stopped by. If you received one, send me a scan of it so I can put them up on the blog! I should have taken photos, but it was pretty busy and I am easily overwhelmed. ;)
It was a fantastic time. I got to meet the crew from Applegeeks, Gary Tyrell from Fleen, and I finally got to say hi to Scott Kurtz in person!
Next year, I want to get a bigger booth so I can display more artwork.

It was really wonderful to meet you at the comic-con this weekend, and thank you for the beautiful sketch. Next time I’m at the scanner I’ll be sure to scan it for you. I was shocked when you said not many Abominable fans had come up to you, since I assure you you loom large in the consciousnesses of many web-comics aficionados.
You asked for merchandise suggestions… I would love to see a large, lush full-color poster of a forest scene with some of your central characters. Comic prints are nice but seeing your art on a large scale would be incredible.

Hi Karl,
It was a pleasure meeting you – twice! I only got a sticker … well, anyway, I had a great time at the con and met a lot of great people. I’m not sure if I will follow your suggestion to come to Toronto in May, but I will have a table at the MoCCA Festival here in NYC in June, which is b.t.w. 10 bucks more than a table at the big con!?!

Since you were at NYC I guess you won’t bother going to the Philadelphia one too huh? Maybe?
