Fight or Flight
Hi everyone!
Apparently, ACC got stumbled last week, so WELCOME to all of you new readers (and apologies if the site is acting funny)!
I’m just entering the home stretch for Year Two of the story (it started in June of 2007), so all of you plot-hungry commenters will have your hands full for the next twelve weeks.
Things are about to get tense…

Good luck little guy! Karl, you do amazing work. Thank you!

Hoorah – ACC is back – Love the crabs’ reaction . Must be getting near the tree – the crows present seem to indicate this . But then again – I’ve been wrong many times trying to outguess Karl .

Ahaha… really great parting words. Good stuff, good stuff.

That crab cracks me up! Great comic today!
April 1st, 2009 at 5:43 pm
I’m sure the crab would be morally courageous in the face of any threat lesser than a flock of crows!
Simply brilliant!

I have this problem when I try to draw on a thursday morning (Us kiwi’s being several hours ahead of most of you lot)… I’m always excited to get online and check out the latest Charles Christopher strip, which comes online a little before lunch time, and then doing so I can’t look at my own work with the same sense of satisfaction… This continues to blow me away week after week after week. Thanks so much Karl!

hey man, id be a lil freaked out too if a murder of crows was lookin at me like that!
April 1st, 2009 at 5:57 pm
I stumbled in here… and thank goodness for it. This is one fantastic find. I took an hour and completely caught up! Thank you Karl!

I’m sad to see the crab go, but I’m excited for imminent action!
April 1st, 2009 at 6:22 pm
How crab-tivating! Ominous foreshadowing perhaps….
April 1st, 2009 at 6:44 pm
cheese and rice it’s so amazing every time
April 1st, 2009 at 6:56 pm
So…much…win. It’s funny that I can actually believe that crab is flood-in-pants terrified.
April 1st, 2009 at 7:15 pm
I can’t wait to see who he meets next. :)
April 1st, 2009 at 8:18 pm
Plot, smot! I’m still wainting for my damned hardbound collection!
I bloodly well LOVE this series!
April 1st, 2009 at 8:27 pm
XD LOVE that parting comment!

Well, if Mr Crab had not almost become a delicious “crisp” once already, he may have been a touch more stolid in the lurch. Poor fellow has had a rough couple of days so I’ll give him some slack. He is, after all, so very small.
A “murder” of crows is oh, so appropriate. ;-)

I must say I adore this webcomic so far, is really cute and I love the personalities you gave to the animals
Their expressions are fantastic, I’m so glad my friend showed this to me the other day, I will spread it to my contacts as well :)
I will draw you fanart once I get some vacations x___x
Good luck!

It wasn’t till I read the comments that I saw the crows in the second panel. It totally looked like the open jaws of a croc to me, with the crows as blackened teeth. Now I can switch back and forth between the two images. Great stuff Karl.

*sighs* Oh charles. Your strong yet innocent silence is made lonely by the absence of Townsens adorable yapper.
Perhaps another dream? Just for old times sake?
:D

Stumbled it too.
I immediately fell in love with the style of the drawings. Loved to hear you were from Montreal too, makes me proud to be a Montrealer!

love the third pane, his expression is priceless. Have to say this crab is a new favourite character. Thanks for another wonderful strip!
April 2nd, 2009 at 2:51 pm
When you’re a crab, just one crow is a “murder”.

And once again intellectual posturing falls down in the face of overwhelming brute force. Reality is a harsh mistress…
April 2nd, 2009 at 4:47 pm
Great stuff! been reading for a long time but never really left comments, i hope we get to see the bigger picture of the plot soon (though the standalone comics are good it’d be nice to know what the hecks going on xP)

Hey there -
I just Stumbled in and I must say, you do amazing work. I look forward to seeing where you go with all this!

Strangely enough, I just got done studying emotions( fight-or-flight ) in psychology… It’s weird how things connect to my classes so often.
Lovely art! Keep up the great work. :)

what tree… ? Am I missing clues? It’s going to get tense? I’m still upset about Townsen. (I mean, I’m complaining, but I don’t mean to be, I’m just very involved… I love your characters a crazy amount.)

Awesome how you prove TACC’s courage here, despite what the crab says. I love your characters and art, this is amazing stuff.
April 5th, 2009 at 3:52 pm
Dammit! I just came back to this comic after giving it an all-too-quick look several months ago. This is one of the best comics on the web. Man, Karl!
April 6th, 2009 at 9:21 am
This is simply brilliant… I haven’t come across a comic on the internet that is this profound, and this funny at the same time! Not to mention the attention to detail in the illustration!
You have yourself a watcher. Thank you StumbleUpon!
April 6th, 2009 at 3:47 pm
Ha! Love the consolation.
April 7th, 2009 at 8:15 am
Karl I love this. Thanks so much for your amazing art and creativity.

I love StumbleUpon so much now! I can’t stop reading these. Probably been half an hour now.
April 9th, 2009 at 1:21 am
This comic is so beautifully done. I’ve got it bookmarked and can’t wait to see more. Keep up the amazing work!
April 13th, 2009 at 9:01 am
Karl, I love the beam of light hitting CC in the last pannel. very cool.
May 30th, 2009 at 1:02 am
Love it… the crab can philosophically analyze courage, or reduce it to biochemistry. But when the rubber hits the road, it’s Charles that quietly keeps going.
