@E=MC_horse – you might be a bit older (I was born in the 60′s) but your reference to Thin Lizzy reminded me of seeing them live and free in a concert on the Sydney Opera House steps in ’78 or ’79. The boys were definitely back in town then. Mr Lynott is sorely missed…

Ref Dynamaso and other Aussies. I am probably a bit older than you. I was on R&R from Viet Nam at the time(s) in 1969 and again in 1971. I was a wild lad then, but it was; “Eat, drink and lay Mary; for tomorrow Charlie may off you.” I went about with a pack of SAS types I had met in ‘Nam. I never tried to gank a hooler, either big or small. I was then a US Marine (after ‘Nam spent a year as a civvie, then joined the Army and retired therefrom). Believe it or not, I stayed out of any chargeable trouble while in Oz on R&R.
