Silent Reflection
Happy Holidays, everyone!
I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support of this comic. It’s been two and a half years, and while I’m constantly surprised by what these characters say and do, I’m equally surprised by the thoughtful, emotional feedback I receive every week from all of you, whether through the comments or by mail.
Thank you also to everyone who’s supported me by purchasing prints and shirts, or by donating funds. As we enter the new year, I plan to make The Abominable Charles Christopher a bigger priority, professionally – that means more interesting things in the store, including the first print collection, which is on the way.
Best wishes, and may the season find you as close to your loved ones as possible.

UPDATE: I just posted some wallpaper of today’s strip in the Downloads section for those of you who asked, as well as a holiday card to print out and enjoy. Better late than never…

A peaceful and happy holiday to you!
Y’know, there are only two webcomics that I honestly love. Yours is the first. Thank you for sharing your often hilarious, occasionally heartrending, always beautiful work with us.
(The other one is Rice Boy, for anyone who was interested)

YYYYYYYYEEEEAAAAHHHH VIVA VIVOL AND MOONBEAR!
December 23rd, 2009 at 2:01 pm
Man that’s great. Without the back story its just (excuse the phrase) another picture of a bear. With the backstory there is so much in that can be read into the picture. That lake is some deep water. Bravo.
December 23rd, 2009 at 2:29 pm
Moonbear!! OMG, that just made my year.
Thanks so much for everything Karl. For your art, your stories and the characters you’ve brought to life. Merry Holidays and best wishes for the New Year.
December 23rd, 2009 at 2:36 pm
Karl,
I just discovered your sites. Great stuff. I look forward to catching up with The Abominable and then keeping up.
Happy Holidays!

Just wandered in here from the link over at Dominic Deegan, read the whole thing in one swell foop. Definately on my list of comics to keep up with now, this is probably the best ‘talking animals’ stuff I’ve read since Watership Down.
December 23rd, 2009 at 4:45 pm
Okay, all of you wallpaper-requesters, new wallpaper is up in the downloads section!

Happy holidays, Karl; hope that world tour hasn’t gotten to your ego.
December 23rd, 2009 at 7:05 pm
Joyez Noel Karl – another heart-stopper . The left eye appears to be checking something out . Hmmm – is that where Charles is flopped out ?
December 23rd, 2009 at 8:12 pm
You, sir, have something amazing and powerful on your hands. Ive read the entire comic up to the latest update today (thanks to mookie for posting the link) and I must say that it is one o the most amazing things ive read on the internet. The story is truly touching with an artwork that heightens the emotions o every word and tone in every installment. I will admit i cried at the death o Townsen, and I will equally admit that my heart was overcome with joy when Charles found Townsen’s brothers and when he returned them to their home. Never have i felt that from a webcomic. So kudos to you good sir, and please keep up the amazing work.
