Resolutions
Of course, the upcoming year is the Year of the Tiger, but I had no convenient way of including a tiger in today’s strip, so here are some raccoons to ring in the new year.
Happy holidays!

I heartily approve of the lounging raccoon’s methods.
Hope getting that print collection together is one of yours, Karl ;) Best wishes for the year, and keep up the awesome.

I think I know what one of the racoon’s regrets is… ;-)
December 30th, 2009 at 5:46 pm
i’m with the lounger all the way ;P

Love the raccoons but don’t like resolutions. If you find the need to change something, don’t wait til the end of the year, lol.
And I’m looking forward to 2012, the year of the dragon (water this time) that will hopefully have the calming effect on the world state of affairs that the water dragon is supposed to have.

I love how amused the raccoon in panel three is – like he doesn’t even know where his resolutions come from (his belly perhaps?)
happy new year Karl!

fantastic, my favorite new years strip this year
December 30th, 2009 at 6:49 pm
Happy New Year Karl – at the moment I feel like the raccoon higher up in the tree . But – “This too will pass”

Isn’t it the year of the tiger on Chinese New year, not Western New Year?
And don’t you have a circus arc going right now >.>
December 30th, 2009 at 7:29 pm
Kyphis is right–you’ve got until February 14 to come up with that tiger. :)
December 30th, 2009 at 8:34 pm
i second that…or third it?
for chinese new year, we need a tiger!
please :)

In Japan people start celebrating the new year on Jan.1 with the new Chinese zodiac animal, so I think you’re good to go with the Tiger as of tomorrow.

Linked over from Dominic Deegan the other day and read through the entire archive. What an experience. I absolutely love your artwork, your story-telling that at times doesn’t require words, and the depth of your characters. I look forward to wednesdays so much more now, although going from page after page to a weekly update will be hard. Keep up the good work Karl!

Happy New Year Everyone!!!!!
December 30th, 2009 at 9:39 pm
I routinely give up all my New Year’s resolutions for Lent.

I love the raccoons, sometimes I’m one, and other times, I’m the… Other! Best wishes for the New Year and a great, productive 2010

Ah, the raccoon duo! It’s been so long since we’ve heard from these guys. Have a happy new year, everyone! =)

I love the Fat Raccoon.
December 31st, 2009 at 2:55 am
Heh, a couple ring-tailed critters are the perfect choice to ring in any year.
December 31st, 2009 at 3:25 am
Nice strip! I’m with the lounging raccoon, too.
Just thinking, you could have a tiger in an upcoming circus strip, perhaps?
December 31st, 2009 at 5:42 am
I resolve to post my funny comment BEFORE I read everyone else’s so I don’t forget what I was going to say before I finish them.
December 31st, 2009 at 7:19 am
Well, The year of the Tiger doesn’t offically come untill chinese new year actually…
December 31st, 2009 at 8:11 am
Such a happy raccoon, all full of resolutions. I wonder if he’ll keep any.

HAPPY 2010 MY FRIEND!!!
December 31st, 2009 at 12:57 pm
I finally caught up with the strip. Wow! Awesome work, and can’t wait to read more.
December 31st, 2009 at 1:01 pm
Hilarious as always. Can’t wait to see what 2010 has in store for Charles.
December 31st, 2009 at 6:12 pm
I always like the raccoons, both with valid perspectives. It’s touching that they stay friends.
December 31st, 2009 at 10:11 pm
I think this should be the year of the raccoon. Tigers wait another 12 years, they’ve had plenty. Let another stripey animal in for a change.
January 1st, 2010 at 1:00 pm
Best strip I read all year.
January 1st, 2010 at 5:21 pm
Excellent! Was referred to the site via Dominic Deegan, and have been pacing myself as I’ve read through this marvelous strip. When I came to the realization, as I went to push the “Next” button, that I had come to the most current strip and thus had to WAIT for more, I literally cried out in shock and dismay. Still, I shall wait ever patiently for more.

Happy New Year, Karl!
I’m with the Tiger beat…something for Chinese New Year would be most excellent. And if it were to be a white tiger? Even better! He or she would fit right in to the world of Charles Christopher.
January 2nd, 2010 at 11:14 am
lol Lookit the fatty racoon :) Always talking and never doing, too cute.
January 3rd, 2010 at 10:24 pm
Great strip!
I also want to say To everyone else though to stop with the Chinese New Year already! Like I-hate-socks (aside:how could you hate socks?) wrote, Japanese new year celebrates the tiger this year starting on January first! Then again, that doesn’t mean something else couldn’t happen on Chinese new year…

First post here. I found the comic tonight, and just finished reading through the entire thing. All that I want to say is that I’m really enjoying the ride so far and I can’t wait to see how things turn out for Charles and the gang. Great job!

Found this comic reading through the comments on the comic Sandra and Woo and I am so glad I did. You avidly capture a wide range of emotions and you are willing to give us a laugh during a somber story arc. The art blows my mind as well; I can’t believe how beautiful it is with every panel. I will be looking forward to the rest of Charles adventures.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:30 pm
I just love the 4rth panel <3
January 5th, 2010 at 8:55 am
Oh, right, no raccoons in China. Have to make it the year of the red panda. Pass the bamboo.
January 10th, 2010 at 4:55 pm
Hey, if you can bring a mystic lion into the strip, you can find a way to work a tiger in there.
As a year of the tiger native, I will be very offended if you don’t. Hmmph.
Actually, I won’t, but it would be cool to see you draw a tiger.
January 16th, 2010 at 6:26 pm
And now!…and NOW!…(he’s going to be doing that all year, huh?).
January 20th, 2010 at 4:18 am
I absolutely LOVE the raccoons, I feel they are always right on the money. More more!
February 7th, 2010 at 9:02 pm
Are the raccoons a same-sex couple? It would be wonderful to see that kind of diversity in your already sensitive strip.
