Takin’ Care of Beeswax
Another comic featuring Andy Bee.
I looked up the origin of the term ‘beeswax’ in this context and there’s no single agreed-upon story, so I figured it could have been invented by these guys.

Good old Andy Bee! :D He knows the definition of cool more than any of us!
March 3rd, 2010 at 12:37 pm
*gigglesnort* <– my literal reaction to this strip. awesome.
March 3rd, 2010 at 12:39 pm
Ah, I love the bees. We don’t see too much of them, but they’re enjoyable when they’re around. I think Andy’s attitude may get him in trouble one of these days.

Gonna be snorting and chuckling over this one for a bit. Nicely done!

Andy is probably just scared and insecure on the inside and is projecting his feelings onto others to make himself feel better. Which will probably just make the other bee feel scared and insecure. Agh. It´s a vicious cycle.
P.S. Not that it matters that much, but all insects, including bees, have six legs, and I think all worker bees are females, but these look like bumble bees which, I think, are solitary. But let´s not let facts get in the way of the truth, huh?

Hehehe. That’s so uncool. I love it ^_^

I know people like that lol

Love the subtle honeycomb pattern in the background!
Good thing the non-Andy Bee’s small business didn’t actually involve selling Beeswax, or he’d be REALLY confused.
March 3rd, 2010 at 1:56 pm
HAHAHA, so dry. So very very dry. I love it. Also, the honeycomb background is freaking amazing.

:D
Awesome.

Preach it, Andy!
March 3rd, 2010 at 2:07 pm
I love it!

Catch the look of dejection on that poor bumble bee in the last panel!
March 3rd, 2010 at 3:28 pm
And the look of pride in the 3rd. Who knew bees could puff out their chests so much.
March 3rd, 2010 at 3:36 pm
I would like to see someone use “beeswax” for “business”, maybe I should :).
March 3rd, 2010 at 3:51 pm
Actually, Diana, bee drones aren’t nearly as useless as male ants. They guard the hive and do some work. And I see six legs…though Andy’s are hard to see.

Nice way to sneak Andy B’s name in. Hopefully he will be starting up soon – miss his work .

Um… I say “beeswax” in this context, and have for decades. Does that make me cool, protocool, postcool, or so far from cool I’m hot?
March 3rd, 2010 at 7:46 pm
Awesome comic. Always makes me smile and laugh. Good luck to you and I hope you continue with my favorite comic.

Bumbles aren’t solitary. They aren’t as social as honeybees – no dancing, for instance – but they do live in colonies, albeit small ones (less than 50 bees, often).
March 3rd, 2010 at 8:45 pm
Oh, why not? Who cares if it’s cool? He could have a good business idea. Why not export some local goods and pump up the economy? It’s a micro entrepeneurism!
March 3rd, 2010 at 10:33 pm
“that’s uncool” — ooooh dis! (diss? disrespect… yeah that)
March 4th, 2010 at 3:11 am
Oh my GOODNESS! MY name is Andy! And my last initial is B! You have no idea how much more I love your comic every time I encounter it. This is almost a must have print.

March 4th, 2010 at 2:36 pm
That’s VERY funny!

This is such beautiful comics… Love it. I love the mix between beauty, humor and tragedy… Toooooownseeeen !! (I knew the characters for like five minutes and it was killed !!). Love every animals, most of the story arcs are great and Charles Christopher’s an amazing character. Keep up the good work !

I long to be as cool as Andy B’s clique.
March 5th, 2010 at 8:17 am
I’ve loved these bees ever since they warned CC off from their honey.
March 5th, 2010 at 3:28 pm
Eh, I don’t like this one that much, to be honest…
March 10th, 2010 at 8:08 am
oooh, I was just coming down here to say one thing and spotted the footer of the page, how come I’ve never scrolled down that far before, it’s gorgeous!
Um, anyway, what I was going to say is how much I love the bees strip, brilliant.
I have a colony of bumble bees living in my shed, they’re definitely social, there’s loads in there. They have the shed now, like little striped-furry squatters they’ve moved in and claimed it, it’s mine by name only, heh
March 11th, 2010 at 6:47 pm
haha! That’s too cute. Like when my mom says something’s “the bomb.” I want to tell her so badly to stop it.
March 14th, 2010 at 9:23 pm
I actually did a project on bees and honey this week. Having learned about bee communication and honey production makes this strip 5x funnier.

Again this is Ultra-Gold! More BEE! I was teaching at Bayside school the other day and they gave us official Flavor Flav giant letter B pendants. I think the Bee could easily rock some bling.
