Ladylike
I’m back from Russia!!
Back at my desk, still drawing in Master Editions, and gearing up for the San Diego Comicon, where I’ll be wandering around the show floor and participating in a couple of panels.
Speaking of the book, I’ve gotten lots of emails from people who have received them, and it seems like they’re taking quite a while to ship overseas, so if you’ve gotten a shipping notification but your book hasn’t arrived yet, hang tight! It should show up soon!
And incidentally, there are a few stores – like this one in Norway – that have them stocked. So if you want to avoid the shipping costs and the long wait, maybe you can pick one up locally.
If you’d like your local store to carry the Abominable Book, tell them to contact us and we’ll do our best to hook them up!
See you next week!

omg the ladybug! <3

Wow, comic’s up early today!
I love the personalities (and personality disorders) that you give to your creatures. I especially love the thought that male ladybugs have low self-esteem because they’re called ladybugs

HAHAHAHAHA!
Oh my god, I started laughing at the first panel and didn’t stop … that’s a classic karl, thank you for giving an unemployed loser something to laugh about …
I notice that sometimes people sometimes bitch about these ‘plot digressions’, personally I crave them … I’m hoping we get to see some more personal ads too … This ‘Lady’bird is crying out to be written up.

Those are some big guns that little ladybug is showin’ off!

Just wandering around SDCC? Are you going to be appearing at any booths where a nerd like me might purchase original art or grab a sketch?
July 14th, 2010 at 11:26 am
Poor ladybugs… Life is tough for them… :p
July 14th, 2010 at 11:28 am
A ladybug started digging a hole into my hand the other day.
Some of those critters do have issues.
July 14th, 2010 at 11:44 am
Haha. Kind of crashes with the view I have of ladybugs being rapacious predators.
July 14th, 2010 at 11:55 am
Hem, ladybug… how do I tell you this ?… Your muscles are inside your exoskeleton, so…

As much as I like the occasional diversion from Charles.. today, as I clicked the bookmark, I really hoped for more storyline, gotta admit
And then, he proceeds to tell me, it would have been quicker taking the subway into town if I wanted the book
Ah well, at least mine will have a sketch
Oh, and I was just joshin’. Well, a little anyway
July 14th, 2010 at 3:08 pm
That ladybug just got threw beatin the crap out of chuck norris
July 14th, 2010 at 4:46 pm
@Shadow: lol yea I remember that too. Damn ladybugs are killing machines so i don’t know why he would have self esteem problems. Being called a ladybug shouldn’t matter when you kill a ton of your neighbors everyday.

Let me start of by saying I’m a huge fan, and as usual today’s comic was yet again awesome.
BUT, I think, compared to let’s say the first half of your story, these kind of “one-offs” or whatever, are getting in the way of pacing your main story.
Just a friendly opinion, and ofcourse, thanks for making this in the first place.
July 14th, 2010 at 5:18 pm
As I recall, this guy had masculinity issues too. He got better…
July 14th, 2010 at 7:07 pm
Why were you in Russia?
July 14th, 2010 at 9:10 pm
I got my book today with a drawing of Charles, love it, thanks so much
July 14th, 2010 at 9:27 pm
This is my first time seeing your strip, and I gotta say I am totally f***ing floored by it. I’ve been doing comics for the last 20 years and am ventureing into webcomics myself. If mine can be even half this good, I will feel like Ive really accomplished something.
Consider me along for the ride on this great comic! Bravo!
July 14th, 2010 at 11:51 pm
hee hee! my husband says “Check it” all the time. This lean mean fighting bug machine is a 80s kid, isn’t he?
thumbs up for the onomatopoeia in panel 3. it’s like having audio- that was definitely the sound i heard in my head as i saw that muscle flex!
July 16th, 2010 at 9:26 am
started to read your comic and i must say that i am absolutely baffled by the artwork. Every comic you draw is worth a painting.
Also i want to to praise your writing. every dialog has something familair in it.
July 16th, 2010 at 5:24 pm
An exoskeleton makes getting really ripped super hard, but at least you automatically have abs you can play the xylophone on.
I’m on a horse.
Doo do dooo do…
July 18th, 2010 at 12:21 pm
What a cute manlibug
July 18th, 2010 at 10:30 pm
ANy other shows you’ll be hitting this year? WWC maybe?
July 19th, 2010 at 4:40 am
Looky there. You just got a new fan!
July 19th, 2010 at 2:29 pm
♪That’s why the lady’s a man.♫
Oh wait no. Those aren’t the lyrics…
July 21st, 2010 at 4:49 am
Poor ladybug…
I adore the way you drew his head to be tha actual anatomical head of the bug, not just the black bit.
Love your work, but please, can you concentrate on the storyline for a while…?
July 23rd, 2010 at 7:44 pm
I’m new to your comic. A friend directed me here once or twice. For my ten pence worth – I’m glad you created this piece. I can understand the desire for the continuation of a well written plot but when, in the end, one looks back the plot will have been produced but it will be these little gems that will only multiply the comic’s worth. Enjoy each day for what it is, enjoy each moment while you have it, enjoy each comic for itself, we never know what will come later, or if the plot will ever get finished.
Thanks again for this.

OMG that is too funny! hahahahhaa

I can’t help feeling the doc is trying to hide his smirking.
These little bits are like chocolate chips in the big cookie. Not everyone likes chocolate chips, but for those who do, they make the whole cookie a lot better.
