I&#039;m a huge fan of Assassin&#039;s Creed series, and i live in Russia. That&#039;s why i want to inform you that &quot;Orelov&quot; last name is stupid and not authentic.
&quot;Orel&quot; indeed means &quot;Eagle&quot; in Russian. But the last name that origin&#039;s from this word will be &quot;Orlov&quot; (Орлов).
You have to understand that some russian words are transformed when changed into other form. In this case &quot;Orlov&quot; means something like english &quot;Eagleson&quot; will mean. Something like son/descendant of an eagle. But &quot;Orelov&quot; will mean something very different and unknown for russian reader (even though there are people with this last name in russia). Try to google these last names or something.
So if you are trying to be more authentic, please go with &quot;Orlov&quot; if it isn&#039;t too late.
