Creating a Comic

For those of you who missed the live stream, here are the videos of the creation of the ‘Squirrel-Chew’ strip, from start to finish. They’re really long (especially the bits where I’m trying to figure out the writing) but if you’re interested in how the comic is made, this has it all!

Thanks for posting this, as it’s nice to watch over the shoulder of someone who’s work you really enjoy. Did you realize the first video ends kind-of abruptly and the second video doesn’t seem to pick up there? It appears we’ve actually missed out on all the shading/coloring before the 2nd clip starts.

Hi. The video is great, but why the second movie is only 5 minutes long, when first has nearly 3hrs? Is it on purpose? I would love to see the colouring work.

Is anyone having problems seeing the video?

Whoops! Sorry about the short second video. UStream gave me a warning about file size and something must have screwed up when I stopped and restarted it.

It’s really interesting watching your process and seeing that other people suffer from some of the same “bad habits” as me. :P Thumbnails are for suckers with forethought!
And we use the same erasers, aren’t they great? I think they’re great.
